Equal Reality
What if you could walk a mile in someone else's shoes in virtual reality?
Equal Reality is a company that creates VR learning experiences to combat bias and stigma. Through their VR experience, people can learn what it's like to experience discrimination or inappropriate behaviour. People can also rehearse and practice challenging conversations (like management performance reviews, breaking bad news, difficult conversations) by experiencing the situation from the perspective of multiple people.
This promotional video was created for Equal Reality's website and social channels. It is also used by CTO of Equal Reality, Brennan Hatton's presentations to potential investors and customers.
For this project I worked alongside Brennan to record mixed reality footage - that is footage of someone using the VR headset & footage of what the person is seeing in VR.
For this video I was the primary videographer and assisted in setting up the mixed reality space using a green screen studio and tweaking the lights in the studio to create the mixed reality footage. I worked alongside and had assistance from Maddi Fitzmaurice and Rachel Bayliss-Chan.
